About the Study.

In support of Imperial Innovations and one of its portfolio companies, Somaxa was commissioned to perform a deep analysis of the market in the area of Image Management for Clinical Trials. We harnessed our extensive network of contacts across the pharmaceutical industry, academic communities and healthcare, to:

• Better understand the approach that Pharmaceutical Companies and Contract Research Organisations are using for managing medical images relating to clinical trials;
• Understand which companies were most active in the market and who were the dominant players;
• Assess the trends in technology, such as Software as a Service (SaaS) model and cloud computing and how these are influencing the solutions being offered; and
• Define the most requested functionality for an image management solution.
